hello - i'm jordan. i live in wisconsin, a midwesterner through and through. i created v i e w p o r t to archive orginal analysis, writing, and art. i hope it eventually reflects what i make of the world; what's visible from here.
professionally, i work in programs that serve people. personally, i’m a lifelong learner who is enjoying building clean, simple tools and visualizations. my first data piece for v i e w p o r t used Python (pandas, matplotlib, statsmodels) to clean and analyze MLB payroll data, visualize correlations between team spending and performance, and run logistic regressions to estimate World Series probabilities.
i value clarity and critical thinking. i'm annoyed with societal conventions that lack logic. i over-value empathy. i like code that’s readable and writing that respects the reader’s time. i wrote the code for this website with the assistance of chatgpt5. like all other useful AI's, it saved me an almost inquantifiable amount of time. i have a true and genuine admiration for so many neocities websites. i grew up in the html era and this project is very nostalgic for me.
